This recall involves AR500 Armor Level III body armor, including chest plates, side plates and ABS panels. The black, steel-core body armor is rated for protection against rifle calibers up to 7.62X51 M80 Ball (.308) at 2,800 feet per second. AR500 Armor is printed on a white label on the back side of the armor. Only AR500 Level III body armor with the manufacture date code of February 2016 and March 2016 are included in the recall.

Rhino Metals Recalls Handgun Security Safes Due to a Serious Risk of Injury

This recall involves all Bighorn P-20 handgun security safes. The gray and black safes are made out of metal, measure about 3.25 inches high by 12 inches wide by 10.5 inches deep and weigh about 15 pounds. The Bighorn logo in blue and a four-button, back-lit electronic key pad are located on the top of the safe. The handgun security safes have serial numbers 1412160001 through 1412163000 printed on a sticker on the right hand side.

IMR has received reports that this particular powder in 1lb and 8lb containers may have become unstable due to possible rapid deterioration. Use of this product from these lot numbers shown on the back label may result in spontaneous combustion, fire damage or possible serious injury.

Alliant Powder Blue Dot .357 Magnum Advisory

During the latest review Alliant Powder discovered that Alliant Powder’s Blue Dot® should not be used in the following applications:

  • Blue Dot® should NOT be used in the 357 Magnum load using the 125 grain projectile (Blue Dot® recipes with heavier bullet weights as specified in Alliant Powders Reloading Guide are acceptable for use).
  • Blue Dot® should NOT be used in the 41 Magnum cartridge (all bullet weights).

Use of Blue Dot® in the above cases may cause a high pressure situation that could cause property damage and serious personal injury.

WARNING: Hodgdon Powder Company, Inc. has determined that a small number of one pound (1 lb.) containers of a small lot number of Hodgdon’s H4227 smokeless powder canned on March 31, 2005 contains Hodgdon H4198 powder instead of H4227 powder.

Use of this product when loaded in cartridges and/or shotshells using standard loading data can cause a low pressure, unsafe condition, which could cause a projectile to become lodged in a firearm barrel, which upon the firing of a subsequent load, may cause personal injury to the user and/or bystander and damage to the firearm.

Users should immediately cease using this product and return it to Hodgdon Powder Co., Inc. as indicated below:

All persons in possession of Lot #10328054230 of Hodgdon’s H4227– 1 lb. containers of smokeless powder should immediately call 1-800-622-4366 (toll free) for instructions from Hodgdon’s Customer Service Dept. as to the return of this product.

Hodgdon will send you a D.O.T. approved return shipping carton at no cost to you for use in returning the product. We will also send you a replacement product at no charge.

The following product safety recall was conducted voluntarily by the firm in cooperation with the CPSC. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product.

Hazard: These safes can be opened without the use of a combination by jiggling with the door knob. This could allow unauthorized access to a hand gun and the potential for serious injury.

Incidents/Injuries: No injuries have been reported.

Description: The recalled safes weigh about 14 pounds and contain an electronic keypad lock and are gray in color. They were sold with four AA batteries.

Sold at: The safes were sold nationwide through gun supply stores, sporting good stores, and safe retail stores for about $40.

Remedy: Consumers can return their drawer safe to the place of purchase for a refund or contact Stack-On Products Customer Service at 800-323-9601 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. ET Monday through Friday.
